The Research Development (RD) core serves as the research engine for the SC CTSI. RD provides support in various aspects of faculty and research development to help investigators conduct innovative research projects that test the feasibility of novel technologies, methodologies and approaches to address challenges in clinical research and health problems of diverse communities.
RD draws team members from multiple academic disciplines, research staff, clinical providers, health system staff members, and community members. RD provides crucial catalytic resources such as biostatistics workshops, pilot funding, education and training in specific aspects of clinical research, regulatory advice, engagement of specific community or health system partners, and identification of scientific collaborators and core resources.
